1. A method performed by a server in a computing system, the method comprising:
receiving a data access token request from a computing node, the data access token request including a task identifier (ID) identifying a task, and wherein the data access token is a token required to access data stored in a data storage system, and wherein the computing node requires the data stored in the data storage system during execution of the task;
verifying a digital signature associated with the data access token request;
extracting, from the data access token request, the task ID identifying the task;
transmitting a message to a computing device, the message including the task ID that was extracted from the data access token request, and the message querying whether the task identified by the task ID is still being executed by the computing node;
receiving a response from the computing device, the response not including the data access token and the response indicating that the task identified by the task ID is still being executed by the computing node;
subsequent to receiving the response indicating that the task identified by the task ID is still being executed by the computing node, sending the data access token to the computing node, thereby causing the computing node to continue execution of the task, the executing to use the data access token.
