1. A method for autonomous selection of a data routing path in a computer network, comprising:
forming a pulse group comprising a plurality of nodes in a computer network, wherein the plurality of nodes includes a first node, a second node, and a third node, wherein computer clocks at least some of the plurality of nodes in the pulse group have skews relative to each other;
automatically measuring one-way latencies between each pair of nodes in the pulse group;
automatically determining a relayed data routing path from the first node to the second node based on the one-way latencies, wherein the relayed data routing path includes the third node as a first relay node,
wherein the relayed data routing path has a total one-way latency lower than a direct path from the first node to the second node, wherein the total one-way latency of the relayed data routing path is a sum of the one-way latencies from the first node to the third node and from the third node to the second node,
step of automatically determining a relayed data routing path comprising calculating the total one-way latency of the relayed data routing path and the latency of direct path while compensating skews between computer clocks at the plurality of nodes in the pulse group, such that the relayed data routing path is automatically determined independent of the skews between the computer clocks at the plurality of nodes in the pulse group; and
sending data along the relayed data routing path, wherein a payment transfer is automatically recorded in response to sending data along the relayed data routing path.
