1. A system comprising:
a networked computing environment including a server configured to implement a SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) for providing a sports league simulated stock exchange representing a plurality of players associated with a sports league, wherein the SOA comprises:
a first SOA component of the server configured to receive a first dataset including statistics associated with the plurality of players, and
a second SOA component of the server configured to communicate with a plurality of GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces) of remote devices through a network;
wherein the first and second SOA components enable an operable SOA implementation for the sports league simulated stock exchange by:
determining, using the first dataset, a per-share value of a plurality of simulated shares associated with a first player of the plurality of players, such determination includes valuing the simulated shares using a per-player Elo rating for each of the plurality of players; and
transmitting, using the second SOA component, the per-share value over the network to the plurality of GUIs of the remote devices;
whereby the sports league simulated stock exchange determines a first account balance of a first user based at least partially on a number of the simulated shares purchased by the first user and transmits the first account balance to the GUI of the first user.
