1. An endorectal probe device comprising:
an endorectal tube;
an endorectal catheter probe having a distal probe end and a proximal probe end, the proximal probe end being arranged to be inserted into the endorectal tube towards a tissue of a patient, the proximal probe end includes an end face, the end face including at least one of a flat surface or a concave surface, the flat or concave surface being inclined relative to a longitudinal direction of the endorectal catheter probe; and
a radiation shielding insert within the endorectal catheter probe adjacent the proximal probe end, the radiation shielding insert including a disk and a radiation shielding wall coupled to the disk, the disk defining at least a portion of a plurality of longitudinal catheter bores extending from the distal probe end towards the proximal probe end.
