1. A system for electrically stimulating a user, the system comprising:
a pair of electrodes comprising a first electrode and a second electrode;
a compliant base configured to flex about an inferior-superior axis and conform to a curvature of a forehead region of the user during use of the system, the compliant base retaining each of the pair of electrodes in position and separating each of the pair of electrodes from each other according to a set of arrangements, wherein each of the set of arrangements defines:
an angle between a first axis of the first electrode and a second axis of the second electrode, the first axis being perpendicular to an inner broad surface of the first electrode and extending through a center point of the inner broad surface of the first electrode, the second axis being perpendicular to an inner broad surface of the second electrode and extending through a center point of the inner broad surface of the second electrode, wherein the angle is defined based on a projection of the first and second axes in a transverse plane and has a value between 36.5 and 116.5 degrees; and
a horizontal spacing between the center point of the inner broad surface of the first electrode and the center point of the inner broad surface of the second electrode, the horizontal spacing defined along a medial-lateral axis perpendicular to the transverse plane, wherein the horizontal spacing has a value between 54 and 104 millimeters; and
an electronics subsystem.
