1. A blood pressure estimating apparatus comprising:
at least one sensor configured to obtain a bio-signal of an object;
a processor configured to:
extract a cardiac output (CO) feature and a total peripheral resistance (TPR) feature based on the bio-signal,
independently scale the CO feature for systolic blood pressure (SBP) estimation and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) estimation, by applying a same linear scaling function to the CO feature for both the SBP estimation and the DBP estimation when the CO feature is less than a predetermined stable CO feature point, and applying a first log-scaled function and a second log-scaled function to the CO feature for the SBP estimation and the DBP estimation, respectively, when the CO feature increases beyond the predetermined stable CO feature point, wherein the first log-scaled function for the SBP estimation has a greater rate of increase than the second log-scaled function for the DBP estimation beyond the predetermined stable CO feature point,
independently scale the TPR feature for the SBP estimation and the DBP estimation, by applying different TPR feature scaling functions when the TPR feature decreases beyond a predetermined stable TPR feature point; and
estimate an SBP based on the CO feature and the TPR feature which are scaled for the SBP estimation, and estimate a DBP based on the CO feature and the TPR feature which are scaled for the DBP estimation; and
a display configured to display the estimated SBP and the estimated DBP.
