8. An image processing method comprising:
receiving from an image sensor a current frame and at least one previous frame representing respective images of a scene;
identifying a flickering light source suspect (FSS) within the current frame;
generating a bounding box (BB) surrounding the FSS;
tracking the BB between consecutive frames and updating a position and size of the BB based on the tracking;
performing segmentation of the tracked BB; and
detecting flickering of the FSS and selectively modifying image data of pixels representing the same to mitigate the flickering.
