1. A method for customized document summarization, the method comprising:
receiving an indication of a selected document that a user intends to read;
generating a set of options of comprehension levels corresponding to the selected document, each comprehension level corresponding to an amount of time or a plurality of questions based on the selected document;
receiving an indication of a comprehension level by a selection of at least one of an amount of time to read a document, or a plurality of questions expected to be answered;
determining a plurality of sections including a subset of the document based on the amount of time or the plurality of questions;
highlighting the plurality of sections;
presenting, via a user interface, the selected document while obscuring portions of the document except for an unobscured range over a focused portion of a plurality of portions of the document;
advancing the unobscured range through the plurality of portions of the document in response to an advance command;
tracking respective dwell times associated with how much time each of the plurality of portions of the document are unobscured;
receiving a highlighting indication corresponding to one or more sub-portions of the document;
receiving one or more notes associated with respective portions of the plurality of portions; and
generating a summary of the selected document according to the respective dwell times, the highlighting indication, and the one or more notes.
