1. A method performed by one or more electronic devices, the method comprising:
accessing data indicating a series of measurements to be performed, wherein the series of measurements comprises at least one temperature measurement for each of multiple different items to be measured;
receiving, by the one or more electronic devices, data indicating a measurement result for a first measurement in the series of measurements, wherein the first measurement is for an item of a first sample type, the measurement being performed using one or more sensors;
determining, by the one or more electronic devices, that the measurement result satisfies a predetermined condition; and
in response to determining that the measurement satisfies the predetermined condition:
recording, by the one or more electronic devices, the measurement result as a measurement result for the first sample type, including recording the measurement result as a result for the first measurement in the series of measurements; and
advancing, by the one or more electronic devices, to perform an additional measurement using the one or more sensors, including performing a subsequent measurement in the series of measurements using the one or more sensors.
