1. A composite material comprising:
graphene;
acetylated collagen; and
a polymeric material providing a polymeric matrix, wherein
the graphene is attached to the acetylated collagen to form a graphene-collagen composite and the graphene-collagen composite is dispersed within the polymeric matrix,
wherein:
the weight:weight ratio of graphene to collagen in the graphene-collagen composite material is from 0.1:1 to 3:1; and
the weight:weight ratio of the polymeric material to the graphene in the collagen-graphene composite material is from 500:1 to 2250:1.
