1. A hydrogel comprising a network of non-covalently linked polymers formed by at least partially polymerizing an aqueous polymerizable composition comprising cucurbituril and a first monomer having a guest for the cucurbituril, wherein the total monomer concentration, Cmon, within the polymerizable composition is from 0.05 M to 2.0 M, and wherein the guest and cucurbituril have an association constant of at least 103 M−1.
