1. A subterranean formation treatment fluid for treating a subterranean formation comprising a quaternary ammonium surfmer having the following general formula (II):
R5—CH═CH—R6—COHN—R7—N+R1R2R4(Br)  (II)
where:
R1 and R2 are independently H or a C1-C3 alkyl,
R4 is a C3-C6 alkyl having a terminal olefin double bond group,
R5 is a C8-C16 alkyl,
R6 is a C9-C16 alkyl, and
R7 is a C2-C6 alkyl.
