1. An audience measurement computing system comprising:
at least one processor;
memory having stored therein computer readable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the audience measurement computing system to perform a set of operations including:
assigning a first port of a proxy server to a mobile device based on registration information corresponding to a panelist, wherein the mobile device is associated with the panelist;
causing transmission of configuration data to the mobile device, wherein the configuration data includes instructions that cause the mobile device to address future requests originating from the mobile device to the first port;
receiving a first request for first media on the first port; and
based on making a determination that the first request was communicated to the first port via a cellular network:
associating the first request and a demographic attribute of the panelist based on an association between the panelist and the first port;
requesting the first media from an Internet media provider identified in the first request, wherein the Internet media provider is different from the proxy server; and
causing transmission of the first media to the mobile device.
