1. A computer implemented method, comprising:
sending a request from a first cloud environment to a second cloud environment via a private link, wherein
the private link is identified with a first address and a fixed port number in the second cloud environment,
a resource in the second cloud environment is selected from a plurality of resources upon receipt of the request to handle the request, and
the resource that is dynamically selected is identified with a second address and the fixed port number in the second cloud environment; and
responsive to selection of the resource from the plurality of resources in the second cloud environment, updating connection information for the private link that connects the first cloud environment to the second cloud environment at least by:
tracking, at the first cloud environment, the selection from the plurality of resources in the second cloud environment for particular requests;
mapping the second address and the fixed port number for the resource in the second cloud environment to a different port number in the first cloud environment; and
redirecting network traffic for the request through the private link between the first cloud environment and the resource in the second cloud environment, using the different port number in the first cloud environment that is mapped to the second address and the fixed port number for the resource in the second cloud environment.
