1. A method for connecting to a metallic shield of a cable, the method comprising:
wrapping an electrically conductive member comprising a metal braid at least partially around the metallic shield of the cable to establish electrical connection between the electrically conductive member and the metallic shield, the electrically conductive member being fixed to a spring member prior to the wrapping; and
after the wrapping, applying force to the electrically conductive member with the spring member to hold the electrically conductive member against the metallic shield, wherein the applying includes:
pulling on a loop of an unwinding feature of the spring member to unroll the spring member, and
allowing the spring member to re-roll around the electrically conductive member to apply the force.
