1. A method for monitoring an object in the environment of an aircraft on the ground, having the steps of:
transmitting a communication signal between a communication device arranged on the object, in particular a land vehicle, and at least one communication device spatially allocated to the aircraft on the ground, and
wherein the at least one communication device spatially allocated to the aircraft on the ground is fitted to an object separate from the aircraft, determining spatial location information relating to the object on the basis of the transmitted communication signal.
