1. A method for determining a state of health of a lithium-ion battery, comprising:
a first step of determining a function that defines a relationship between an incremental capacity of the battery and a voltage across the terminals of the battery,
wherein the first step is performed by charging or discharging the battery,
a second step of identifying peaks of the function determined in the first step,
a third step of determining voltages across the terminals of the battery for which said peaks are obtained,
a fourth step of determining the amplitudes of said peaks,
a fifth step of determining a degradation mode of the battery on the basis of the voltages determined in the third step, and on the basis of the amplitudes determined in the fourth step,
a sixth step of determining the state of health of the battery on the basis of the degradation mode determined in the fifth step and on the basis of the amplitudes determined in the fourth step,
wherein the sixth step comprises a sub-step of selecting a formula for calculating the state of health of the battery on the basis of the degradation mode determined in the fifth step, and then a sub-step of calculating the state of health of the battery using the selected formula and using an amplitude determined in the fourth step.
