1. A supported catalyst comprising:
a plurality of support particles; and
a plurality of catalyst particles disposed over each support particle, the catalyst particles having formula PdHx/C wherein x is 0.3 to 0.7 and C is a carbon support, wherein the supported catalyst has a BET surface area from about 90 m2/g to 110 m2/g and wherein the plurality of catalyst particle includes kink sites, step sites, and terrace sites.
