1. A catalyst composition for the production of hydrogen gas and carbon nanotubes comprising:
(a) at least one steamed biochar; and
(b) a tri-metallic catalyst comprising metals of nickel, copper, and zinc;
wherein a nickel loading of the nickel is in a range of 27-31 wt %, a copper loading of the copper is in a range of 2.0-2.7 wt %, and a zinc loading of the zinc is in a range of 2.0-2.7 wt % with respect to the at least one steamed biochar.
