1. An aircraft tire monitoring device comprising:
a wireless communication interface,
the aircraft tire monitoring device configured to operate:
in a first mode in which the wireless communication interface is periodically activated from an inactive state to be available for connection to a remote device with a first interval between activations, and
in a second mode in which the wireless communication interface is periodically activated from the inactive state to be available for connection to the remote device with a second interval between activations different to the first interval between activations,
wherein while in the inactive state the wireless communication interface is not available for connection to the remote device.
