1. A bicycle rim comprising:
a circumferential outer portion adapted to receive a tire; and
a rim wall comprising:
an inner surface;
an outer surface;
a first spoke attachment segment having a first tilt angle, the first spoke attachment segment defining a first spoke opening therethrough to accommodate a first spoke nipple, the first spoke opening having a respective central axis angled at a first complex angle that is a combination of a first camber angle and a first crossing angle, the first complex angle selected to achieve a first spoke angle;
a second spoke attachment segment having a second tilt angle that is different than the first tilt angle, the second spoke attachment segment defining a second spoke opening therethrough to accommodate a second spoke nipple, the second spoke opening having a respective central axis angled at a second complex angle that is a combination of a second camber angle that is different from the first camber angle and a second crossing angle that is different from the first crossing angle, the second complex angle selected to achieve a second spoke angle that is different than the first spoke angle, wherein the outer surface extends perpendicular to the respective central axis of the first spoke opening at the first spoke attachment segment and perpendicular to the respective central axis of the second spoke opening at the second spoke attachment segment; and
an intermediate segment extending between the first spoke attachment segment and the second spoke attachment segment, wherein at least one of the outer surface or inner surface twists from first spoke attachment segment to the second spoke attachment segment.
