1. A system comprising:
a patient support apparatus including:
a base supporting a plurality of caster assemblies arranged for movement along floor surfaces,
an intermediate frame with a patient support deck for a patient,
an electrical distribution system,
one or more electrical devices including at least one actuator for moving the intermediate frame relative to the base, and
an energy storage device (ESD) configured to store energy to power the one or more electrical devices through the electrical distribution system;
a unit being independent from the patient support apparatus and including a charging station for coupling to and charging the ESD; and
a device including an output device, one or more processors, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions, which when executed by the one or more processors, are configured to provide information presentable with the output device relating to:
a remaining charge of the ESD, and
a proximity between the patient support apparatus and the unit.
