1. An ultrasound system comprising:
a display device; and
an ultrasound probe having an interface configured to display a visual representation comprising a first light representing first data to initiate pairing with the display device that is separate from the ultrasound probe, and a first transceiver comprising a first processing circuitry that is configured to communicate over a communication link with the display device,
the display device having a reader that includes one or more sensors configured to sense the first light of the visual representation displayed by the ultrasound probe and a decoder configured to decode the first data from the first light, and a second transceiver comprising a second processing circuitry that is configured to initiate communication with the first processing circuitry to pair the ultrasound probe and the display device over the communication link based on the first data.
