1. An intravascular physiologic sensing device, comprising:
a flexible elongate member including a proximal end and a distal end;
an electrical wire extending along a length of the flexible elongate member;
a housing disposed at the distal end of the flexible elongate member, wherein the housing defines a recess; and
a sensor chip positioned within the recess and oriented perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the flexible elongate member, wherein the sensor chip comprises:
a surface facing in a direction of the longitudinal axis;
at least one physiologic sensing element disposed on the surface; and
an electrical lead disposed on the surface and in communication with the at least one physiologic sensing element, wherein the electrical lead and the electrical wire are distinct from one another such that the electrical wire extends along the longitudinal axis and the electrical lead extends perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, wherein the electrical lead is in communication with the electrical wire such that the electrical wire is configured to transmit a signal associated with the at least one physiologic sensing element.
