1. A system for acquiring data from a tissue of a subject, comprising:
a computer system configured to:
access images of at least one of bone or connective tissue adjacent to a surface of the tissue of the subject, and
generate a contour of the at least one of bone or connective tissue;
a prosthesis to conform to and replace the contour of the at least one of bone or connective tissue, and to replace a missing section of the bone or connective tissue; and
an imaging system, in communication with the computer system affixed to the prosthesis for acquiring data of the tissue of the subject,
wherein the imaging system comprises a sensor,
wherein a plurality of electrodes is attached to the prosthesis,
wherein a combination of the plurality of electrodes and the prosthesis is optically transparent, and
wherein the imaging system includes at least one of a single photon microscope, a miniaturized fluorescence imaging device, a 2-photon (2P) microscope, or a miniaturized light-field imaging module (MLIM).
