1. A brewing device for preparing beverages, the brewing device comprising:
a brewing chamber having a tubular body extending along a longitudinal axis thereof, the brewing chamber delimited by an opening for loading/unloading a brewing material at one end and a piston slidably mounted in the brewing chamber at an end opposite the one end,
wherein the tubular body is stationarily supported by a frame of the brewing device;
an electronic control unit that controls movement of the piston to cause the piston to move along the longitudinal axis among a loading configuration, in which the brewing material is loadable in the brewing chamber, a compression configuration, in which the brewing material is compacted by the piston in the brewing chamber, and an expulsion configuration, in which exhausted brewing material is extracted from the brewing chamber,
wherein the loading configuration comprises a higher position in the tubular body corresponding to an initial loading configuration and a lower piston position in the tubular body corresponding to a final loading configuration,
wherein the electronic control unit is programmed to cause, in the loading configuration, the piston to be lowered from the higher position to the lower position,
wherein, in the initial loading configuration, the piston is in a position lower than the expulsion configuration in which the top of the piston is substantially coplanar with the opening of the brewing chamber, and
wherein the electronic control unit is programmed to set the final loading configuration based on the beverage to be prepared and/or a quantity of brewing material to be loaded in the brewing chamber.
