1. A method, comprising:
determining that a wireless device may roam from a first wireless access point associated with a first wireless access gateway of a network to a second wireless access point associated with a second wireless access gateway of the network, wherein the wireless device has established an Internet Protocol (IP) session via the first wireless access gateway associated with the first wireless access point;
sending, to the second wireless access point, a message comprising an identifier of the wireless device and an identifier of the first wireless access gateway via which the IP session has been established; and
causing, based on sending the message, the second wireless access point to maintain the IP session via the first wireless access gateway in the event the wireless device roams to the second wireless access point.
