1. A wireless communication system comprising:
a first coupler having a first pair of electrodes;
a second coupler having a second pair of electrodes that at least partially oppose the first pair of electrodes;
a transmission circuit configured to apply a differential signal to the first coupler;
a reception circuit configured to receive a differential signal output from the second coupler based on electromagnetic coupling between the first coupler and the second coupler; and
a movement control unit configured to move at least one of the first coupler and the second coupler in a predetermined direction while maintaining a positional relationship in which the first pair of electrodes and the second pair of electrodes at least partially oppose each other,
wherein
a distance between centroids of the first pair of electrodes differs from a distance between centroids of the second pair of electrodes,
a first direction in which the centroids of the first pair of electrodes are connected substantially coincides with a second direction in which the centroids of the second pair of electrodes are connected,
the first pair of electrodes have substantially the same size and shape, and
the second pair of electrodes have substantially the same size and shape.
