1. An implantable medical device (IMD) comprising:
one or more electrical components; and
a heterogeneous housing containing the one or more components of the IMD, the heterogeneous housing composed of:
an intrinsically non-conductive and non-magnetic base material; and
at least one dopant comprising at least one of electrical conductance and magnetic permeability,
wherein the heterogeneous housing comprises:
a first region of the housing having a first skin depth; and
a second region of the housing having a second skin depth different than the first skin depth,
wherein the different first and second skin depths of the first and second regions of the heterogeneous housing have different electromagnetic properties formed by the base material and the at least one dopant.
