1. An oxygen saturation measuring apparatus for measuring oxygen saturation of a biological body by measuring near infrared light emitted from light emitting circuitry to the biological body and received by light receiving circuitry, the apparatus comprising:
a probe including:
an information storage device configured to store a distance information between the light emitting circuitry and the light receiving circuitry situated corresponding to a depth of a target to be measured for tissue oxygen saturation, and
light emission driving circuitry configured to make light emit from the light emitting circuitry in an amount of light corresponding to the distance information,
a controller connected to the probe, the controller configured to provide first control pulses to the light emission driving circuitry of the probe such that the light emitting circuitry emits light pulses configured to measure the tissue oxygen saturation, and
the controller further configured to provide second control pulses to the light emission driving circuitry of the probe such that the light emitting circuitry emits light pulses configured to measure arterial blood oxygen saturation, wherein the controller provides the second control pulses for a predetermined time.
