1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a scanner that scans an image of a document and generates image data;
a controller that
receives information for identifying an online meeting that provides a whiteboard function,
receives a selection corresponding to an online meeting based on the received information,
an operation panel that receives, before the generated image data is transmitted to an online meeting server hosting the selected online meeting, a selection corresponding to position information representing at least one predetermined position from among a plurality of predetermined positions on a whiteboard provided by the whiteboard function of the online meeting in which the generated image data is to be displayed; and
a communicator that transmits to the online meeting server hosting the selected online meeting, the generated image data and the selected position information,
wherein the controller is further configured to
determine a meeting status for an online meeting corresponding to the received information; and
in response to the determined meeting status indicating the online meeting is to be held, register, as meeting materials, the generated image data and the selected position information with the received information for identifying the online meeting and cause the communicator to transmit the registered meeting materials to the online meeting server, and
in response to the determined meeting status indicating that the online meeting is currently being held, cause the communicator to transmit the generated image data and the selected position information to the online meeting server.
