1. An apparatus comprising:
a communication circuit that includes a first section for communication conforming to a first protocol, a second section for communication conforming to a second protocol, and a shared circuit shared between the first section and the second section; and
at least one processor, and
a memory coupled to the processor storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to function as:
a first control unit configured to control communication conforming to the first protocol, and
a second control unit configured to control communication conforming to the second protocol,
wherein the first protocol corresponds to a Bluetooth standard, and the second protocol corresponds to a wireless LAN standard,
wherein the first section operates while the apparatus is in power-off state and the second section does not operate while the apparatus is in the power-off state, and
wherein, if an abnormality in the first section is determined by the first control unit, the first control unit resets the first section after confirming that the second section is not in operation;
wherein if the communication conforming to the second protocol is being performed when an abnormality in the first section is determined by the first control unit, the first control unit turns on a start-pending flag, and
wherein if the start-pending flag is on when an end of the communication conforming to the second protocol is detected, the first control unit resets the first section, and
wherein if the start-pending flag is on when the apparatus is powered off, the first control unit turns off the start-pending flag.
