1. A method comprising:
via a first wireless access point:
receiving first input from a first communication device, the first input including a first request for retrieval of first content;
determining a first authentication option assigned to the first wireless access point, the first authentication option supported by a first vendor;
transmitting a communication to a gateway resource to authenticate the first communication device, the communication specifying the first authentication option assigned to the first wireless access point; and
in response to the first input, communicating notification of a first authentication server to the first communication device, the first authentication server providing a first authentication service associated with the first vendor, the first authentication server determined via mapping of the first authentication option to the first authentication server.
