1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
presenting, by a computing system comprising at least one processor, and via a user device associated with a user, a user interface associated with a social media simulation executed by the computing system;
associating, by the computing system, the user with a role within the social media simulation, wherein the role is:
a poster role associated with simulated dissemination of a simulated social media post within the social media simulation, or
a thief role associated with simulated discovery of sensitive information within the social media simulation;
receiving, by the computing system, from the user via the user interface, user input defining a simulated action within the social media simulation that is associated with the role; and
updating, by the computing system, and based on the simulated action, at least one metric associated with the user within the social media simulation.
