A system configured to monitor and/or control one or more chemical plant(s), comprising a first processing layer and a second processing layer, wherein the first processing layer is associated with the chemical plant and communicatively coupled to the second processing layer, wherein the first processing layer and the second processing layer are configured inside a secure network, wherein the first processing layer is configured to provide process or asset specific data of the chemical plant to the second processing layer,
wherein the process or asset specific data refers to data relating to a specific asset or process and contextualized with respect to such specific asset or process,
wherein the contextualization of the process or asset specific data relates to context available on the first processing layer,
wherein the second processing layer is configured to contextualize the process or asset specific data to generate plant specific data and to provide the plant specific data of one or more chemical plant(s) to an interface to an external network,
wherein the plant specific data refers to process or asset specific data that is contextualized with respect to one or more chemical plant(s), and
wherein the contextualization of the plant specific data relates to context available on the second processing layer.
