A probe for detecting trace uranyl ions, comprising conjugated polymer dots with AIE activity and a nucleotide sequence modified on the surface of the conjugated polymer dots, wherein the nucleotide sequence is a DNA and/or RNA sequence, and the conjugated polymer in the conjugated polymer dots has the structural Formula (1):

where R1 is an alkyl group, alkoxy group, substituted alkyl group or substituted alkoxy group containing 1-20 carbon atoms, in which the substituents in the substituted alkyl group and the substituted alkoxy group are independently selected from the group consisting of amino, carboxyl, hydroxyl, an ether bond, halo, a phosphoric acid group, an aldehyde group, a sulfonic acid group, a thioether bond, an ester group, amido, a Schiff base, an oximido, aryl, a sulfone group and a sulfoxide group; and n=2-300.
