19. A system of three-dimensional magnetic blocks, wherein:
the three-dimensional magnetic blocks comprise at least a first block and a second block;
the first block and the second block are the same size and same shape with faces comprising the same quantity of sides;
the first block comprises a first face;
the second block comprises a second face;
the first block is configured for detachable attachment to the second block using;
magnetic attraction of a first magnet on the first face to a magnetically-attractive non-magnetic element on the second face; and
magnetic attraction of a first magnet on the second face to a magnetically-attractive non-magnetic element on the first face; and
the system is configured for determining an orientation of the first face to the second face in response to at least two of the following:
a first magnetic detector on the second face that detects the first magnet on the first face;
a second magnetic detector on the second face that detects a second magnet on the first face;
a first magnetic detector on the first face that detects the first magnet on the second face; and
a second magnetic detector on the first face that detects a second magnet on the second face.
