1. An encapsulated probiotic composition comprising at least one beneficial bacterium encapsulated in a mixture of sodium alginate, calcium chloride, and date seed powder; wherein the date seed powder has an average particle size of about 150 μm; and
wherein the encapsulated probiotic composition has improved stability when compared to a probiotic composition encapsulated in sodium alginate without date seed powder.
