1. A cooling assembly for aerosol-generating articles, the cooling assembly comprising:
a cooling rod with a tube-shaped structure including a hollow for cooling an aerosol generated by the aerosol-generating article;
a plurality of perforations formed through the cooling rod in a radial direction such that air passes through the plurality of perforations and is introduced into the hollow; and
an air volume regulator disposed on the outside of the cooling rod to cover at least some of the plurality of the perforations, and configured to regulate an amount of air passing through the plurality of perforations as the air volume regulator moves from one position to another,
wherein the plurality of perforations are arranged along a circumferential direction of the cooling rod,
wherein the air volume regulator is configured to rotate along the circumferential direction of the cooling rod to regulate the amount of air passing through the plurality of perforations,
wherein the air volume regulator includes a covering member for covering the at least some of the plurality of perforations, and a plurality of through holes formed in the covering member and communicating with the plurality of perforations,
wherein the plurality of perforations form a plurality of groups of perforations, and the plurality of groups of perforations are spaced apart with an equal distance along the circumferential direction of the cooling rod,
wherein a separation distance between the plurality of through holes is equal to the equal distance between the plurality of groups perforations, and
wherein each of the plurality of through holes has a shape corresponding to a shape of the plurality of perforations of each of the plurality of groups of perforations.
