1. A method performed by a node, the method comprising:
receiving a packet from a first node, the first node associated with a software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) domain, wherein the packet comprises a header indicating a transport locator (TLOC) associated with a second node to which to send the packet, the second node associated with a segment routing (SR) domain, wherein the first node is external to the SR domain and any other SR domain and the second node is external to the SD-WAN domain and any other SD-WAN domain;
determining that the TLOC corresponds to a virtual TLOC used in the SD-WAN domain to identify the second node associated with the SR domain, wherein the virtual TLOC indicates a System-IP, the System-IP based on a nexthop internet protocol (IP) address of a virtual private network (VPN) route associated with the second node;
in response to determining that the TLOC corresponds to the virtual TLOC, determining a second node identifier associated with the second node, the second node identifier used in the SR domain to identify the second node;
preparing the packet to be communicated via the SR domain, wherein preparing the packet comprises including the second node identifier in the packet; and
sending the packet comprising the second node identifier to the second node.
