1. A transport slice controller, comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one memory storing instructions, that when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to:
initialize a transport slice activation and deactivation protocol (TS-ADCP) session for a transport slice of a telecommunications network;
determine an indication of a login status of users of the transport slice, wherein the login status includes an indication that a first user has logged in to the transport slice or that a last user has logged out of the transport slice; and
sending a message with the indication of the login status of users to a network element to indicate that the transport slice should be activated or deactivated.
