1. A method for locating a lost tracking device, comprising:
identifying, by a tracking server, a set of users each associated with a device, the set of users located within a geographic area in which the lost tracking device was left;
determining, by the tracking server, based on location information received from each of the devices, a portion of the geographic area corresponding to paths traveled by the devices; and
modifying, by the tracking server, a map interface displayed by a client device communicatively coupled to the tracking server and representative of the geographic area to show an unsearched portion of the geographic area comprising areas within the geographic area other than portions corresponding to 1) the paths traveled by the devices, and 2) portions of the geographic area around the paths traveled by the devices within a communicative range of the devices.
