1. A control device for controlling a broadcast receiver, the control device comprising:
a display;
a communication interface; and
a processor configured to:
receive, through the communication interface from the broadcast receiver, a menu information comprising information regarding contents provided by the broadcast receiver and information regarding an operation mode of the broadcast receiver, and
control the display to display at least one of a user interface (UI) or the menu information, the UI corresponding to the operation mode of the broadcast receiver,
wherein the processor is further configured to:
based on the operation mode of the broadcast receiver being a search mode, receive, through the communication interface from the broadcast receiver, information regarding a search result of a user as the menu information, and
control the display to display the UI and the search result.
