1. A power supply system comprising:
a power source;
an output;
a power converter coupled between the power source and the output and configured to convert power received from the power source, the power converter including a first switch, wherein the power source is a battery having a nominal voltage between 12 V and 80 V; and
an electronic processor coupled to the power converter and configured to control operation of the power converter by controlling the first switch at a switching frequency of at least 100 kHz.
