1. A connector configured to be connected to a mating connector including a first mating terminal, the connector comprising:
a housing;
an outer shield fixed to the housing, the outer shield having a rectangular frame shape surrounding a hollow space;
a first terminal held by the housing and surrounded by the outer shield, the first terminal being configured to be electrically connected to the first mating terminal of the mating connector;
a second terminal held by the housing and surrounded by the outer shield; and
an inner shield disposed between the first terminal and the second terminal, wherein:
the connector is configured to be connected to the mating connector by moving toward the mating connector in a predetermined direction relatively with respect to the mating connector,
the housing includes a bottom wall and a peripheral wall extending from the bottom wall in the predetermined direction, the outer shield being provided on the peripheral wall of the housing,
the outer shield includes:
a first shield portion extending in a front-back direction perpendicular to the predetermined direction and a second shield portion extending in a left-right direction perpendicular to the front-back direction and the predetermined direction, the first shield portion and the second shield portion being disposed along a first side and a second side of the rectangular frame shape which are adjacent to each other; and
a first corner portion provided at a first corner of the rectangular frame shape at which the first side and the second side of the rectangular frame shape are connected to each other, the first corner portion being connected to the first shield portion and the second shield portion,
the first shield portion of the outer shield includes:
a first inner peripheral wall facing the hollow space;
a first outer peripheral wall facing the first inner peripheral wall across a gap between the first outer peripheral wall and the first inner peripheral wall in a direction perpendicular to the predetermined direction, the first outer peripheral wall being opposite to the hollow space with respect to the first inner peripheral wall;
a first top wall connected to the first inner peripheral wall and the first outer peripheral wall; and
a shield protrusion extending from the first inner peripheral wall in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction,
the housing includes a first opening passing through the housing in the predetermined direction such that the first opening passes through at least the bottom wall of the housing,
the shield protrusion is inserted in the first opening,
the first terminal includes a board connection portion configured to be connected to a circuit board,
when viewed in the predetermined direction, the board connection portion of the first terminal is located in the first opening,
the bottom wall of the housing has a second opening therein passing through the housing in the predetermined direction such that the second opening passes through at least the bottom wall of the housing,
when viewed in the predetermined direction, the second opening overlaps the first inner peripheral wall of the first shield portion of the outer shield,
when viewed in the left-right direction, the inner shield is located between the first opening and the second opening,
the first terminal and the second terminal include a first board connection portion and a second board connection portion configured to be connected to a circuit board, respectively,
when viewed in the predetermined direction, the first board connection portion and the second board connection portion of the first terminal and the second terminal are located in the first opening and the second opening, and
when viewed in the predetermined direction, the housing includes a part disposed between a portion of the first board connection portion of the first terminal disposed in the first opening and a portion of the second board connection portion of the second terminal disposed in the second opening.
