| 
               1. A computer-implemented method for clearing possible malware from electronic documents, comprising: 
            receiving, without opening, an electronic original document on a control computer from an insecure source from the Internet and/or from outside a local network that includes the control computer, wherein receiving the electronic document does not involve scrolling or recognizing text in the electronic original document; 
                transmitting the electronic original document from the control computer to a display computer of an isolated system, via an interface or a data line that only sends data in one direction; 
                opening the electronic original document on the display computer to determine document content, wherein opening the electronic document involves scrolling or recognizing text in the electronic document; 
                transmitting the document content of the electronic original document via a display signal from the display computer to the control computer; and 
                the control computer creating an electronic document copy from the display signal.
