1. A method implemented by one or more processors, the method comprising:
determining that content rendered at a client device triggers additional content or an action, the additional content or the action being accessible via a target application;
determining log-in information that is associated with a user of the client device and that is associated with the client device, the log-in information indicating whether the user of the client device is logged into the target application at the client device; and
in response to the log-in information indicating that the user of the client device is logged into the target application at the client device and in response to determining that the content triggers the additional content or the action:
generating a first selectable element embedded with a target application deeplink that, when executed, causes the target application to be launched in a particular state to access the additional content or the action, and
causing the first selectable element to be rendered at the client device.
