1. An electronic device comprising:
a leaf power management unit (PMU) comprising a general purpose input/output (GPIO) operable in a blocking state while receiving a threshold level of voltage, wherein the leaf PMU is configured to be decoupled from a power source between a first time and a second time and coupled to the power source at the second time; and
a controller PMU configured to couple to the leaf PMU, wherein the leaf PMU is configured to supply the threshold level of voltage to the GPIO between the first time and the second time.
