1. An illumination device comprising:
at least one electric light source;
a transceiver configured to communicatively interface with a remote device;
a local clock configured to maintain a real-time clock and present calendar day reference;
a memory configured to store predefined times associated with at least one religious ceremony; and
a processor configured to obtain at least one of the real-time clock and present calendar day reference and the predefined times associated with at least one religious ceremony from the remote device via the transceiver, to access the predefined times associated with the at least one religious ceremony from the memory, and further configured to at least one of automatically activate and automatically deactivate the at least one electric light source at the respective predefined times associated with at least one religious ceremony based on the real-time clock and the present calendar day reference.
