1. A damper device, the damper device comprising:
a slide assembly such that the damper device is slidable in a first direction and a second direction opposite from the first direction;
a brake assembly configured to selectively resist sliding of the device;
a force assembly configured to bias the brake assembly against the slide assembly; and
a clutch assembly, wherein, responsive to sliding in the first direction, the clutch assembly is adjustable from an unclutched configuration to a clutched configuration to resist sliding of the device in the first direction, and wherein the clutch assembly comprises a biasing member applying a biasing force against the clutch assembly in the second direction, wherein the clutch assembly further comprises:
a trigger comprising at least two opposing faces which are disposed at an acute angle to one another;
at least one spring, which urges the trigger towards a vertex;
a first friction interface which facilitates the brake assembly and the clutch assembly to slide with the slide assembly;
a second friction interface, which is disposed between the trigger of the clutch assembly and the force assembly which facilitates the clutch and brake assembly to slide with the slide assembly relative to the force assembly; and
a trigger hard stop, which has at least one surface configured to contact at least one surface of the trigger thereby preventing the trigger from sliding.
